The draws for both categories are done and we are ready to kick off the OPEN AL WAKRAH, the first stage of the Qatar Padel Tour powered by AUDI, where the best rackets will fight to start the race for the master finals. 

First day of competition begins with the Category B, on Tuesday 27th November, with an interesting last 16 round matches.The favourites can not relax on this first stage with a draw that feels really tough. Here is the full draw for Category B:

Moving on with the draw of Category A. It's true that we are missing some strong teams but we don't hesitate they will prepare for the next stage in January. Meanwhile we delight ourselves with this standout clash match in quarterfinals between Jassim Al Mulla -  Mousa Zayed vs Khaled Saadon - Mohammed Alshaabi. Already one year since we opened. It’s a special date for us so we want to organize a special event. 

The 14, 15 of September we will launch in QSC and Al Arabi our first year Anniversary tournament. (teams of 2 players each)

Padel Qatar Team

The new Padel Qatar Academy is already on. As a essential part of the development of this sport, we have created the first Padel Academy in Qatar that will be start next September 3rd. 

The trainings are oriented to all those players who want to start in the world of padel competition as well as possibility of training at a high level and seeking a continuous improvement of each and every one of the aspects related to the Competition.

For this, we have proposed a new project based on the professionalization and quality of training.

All those interested should always pass a tryouts, where the requirements and objectives will always be consistent with the level of training and qualities. 

The training is designed for all players with a good level and has the following characteristics:

–    1. All the players selected for the academy will receive a Padel Qatar t-shirt.
–    2. Possibility of participate in the team representing Padel Qatar against other nationalities.

–    3. Video analytics.
–    4. Trainings formed by 8 students in two courts, directed by Queco Catalan and Esther Lasheras

–    5. The first trimester with the next program: One day fixed a week from 9 pm to 10:30 pm. (September, October and November). 13 sessions total.

The tryouts will be in:

• QSC         August 12th at 8pm

• Al arabi   August 19th at 8pm

Be one of the padel pro team in Padel Qatar, there are limited places!!

Also All-play-all matches during the trainings between the pro team players to see the improvement will be programmed. It is required to play all matches because at the end of the trimester vacancies could be occupied by others players. (The price of matches not included).

As many of you know, our beloved Victor has left Qatar back to Spain. One of the most important pillars of what Padel Qatar is now.  We want to thank him for all that he has given us and we wish him the best in his new stage. Thank you to a great mate and best person. We will miss you friend!

However Padel Qatar wants to continuous growing and evolving by introducing you the new managers and coaches, newcomers from Spain, Esther and Queco with a long experience along padel.  

Esther is a former pro padel player, top 25 of World Padel Tour. She has been competing for more than 10 years at the highest level, the same years she has taught padel and training competition groups of all levels and ages. And if you ask for Real Madrid or Barça, forget about it ... she is Atletico de Madrid lover!

Queco has extensive experience in the management of padel clubs, both in Spain and France, and has been sharing his passion for padel with anyone who wants to train and level up for more than 10 years. He has competed for years in the Circuit de Madrid and has been sparring of World Padel Tour players such as Pedro Alonso, Juani Mieres or Javier Escalante. You will see him in the clubs every day with his permanent smile

As you may know the holy month of Ramadan is approaching, and in Padel Qatar we want to congregate all the padel lovers in a tournament full of joy and social relationships. That is the reason why the new Ramadan Padel Teams Tournament will be done in Teams format.

            Ramadan Padel Teams Tournament will be host between the 15^th of May and the 14^th of June in QSC and Al Arabi Padel.

            Every team has to have a captain and between 8 to 12 players, as the timmings and schedules will be set by the organization and a minimum of players must be guarantee. Captain can be (or not) a player. We invite you to create your own outfit and name for the team.

            Every journey will be played between two teams and consists on 3 matches, as you can see below:

            It will be a league format with 4 groups of 3 teams each group, made by official draw. The first 2 from each group will go to quarterfinals, semifinal and final. It means a total of 57 matches in 19 journeys.

            The teams who win two or more matches get the victory of the day, which means +2 points.

            If the team show up with less than 4 players the will be given the match as no presented with -1 points. One player can only play in one team.

            Rules and regulations will be updated.

            The registration fee of the Tournament is 1.800 QAR PER TEAM.

Padel Qatar had a pending debt with the society. Knowing the fundamental role played by women in the world and their need for privacy, we have finally been able to present an exclusive padel court for them. The location is the best we could dream of in Qatar: the Qatar Women’s Sport Committee. We would like to thank them to believe in this sport and give us this opportunity.

To celebrate this milestone, there will be a soft opening of the new padel court from the 21^st until the 31^st of March where women (only) will be able to book through Padel Qatar webpage or app.

As you may be aware next March 8 is the International Women's Day. Since 1911 this day has been celebrated every year.

In Padel Qatar we are aware and grateful for the role played by women in today's society. And to celebrate this special occasion we want to promote the first padel tournament only for women.

The tournament is free of charge and will be held at Qatar Sport Club courts on Friday, March 9, 2018. Each team will play at least two games.

Barcelona Padel Experience is an Interclubs Tournament in Barcelona in which Padel Qatar will participate on 2018.

In our efforts to infuse Qatar with padel, we are delight to bring Juan Martín Díaz and Hernan 'Bebe' Auguste to Qatar. Both of them are padel legends.

Bebe won more than 100 professional padel tournaments since 1991 in Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Mexixo, Paraguay and France and he has been world champion 8 times. Actually works for World Padel Tour as a International Expansion

Juan Martín Díaz will play this season with Paquito Navarro on the World Padel Tour. He has been number one during 13 years and won 170 finals form 191 in which he participated. He won 4 World Championships, 2 European Championships, 6 Spanish Championships, 3 Teams Spanish Championships and 2 Mix Spanish Championships amongst others.

On Saturday the 10th of February...

We invite you all to participate on this padel exhibition which will be celebrated in Al Arabi Sports Club new padel facilities.

At 14.30h courts will be ready for everyone who wants to come and play free. Sign up previously only by whats up either for the contest or to play with Juan Matin and Hernan Auguste (+974 6685 2539).

A tie break contest up to 10 points with deciding point. 

At 16.00h Juan Martin and Bebe Auguste will be sharing the courts with all the people registered for the event, playing each one in one court. Every 5 minutes 6 new players will share the court with them.

At 17.30h an Exhibition match will be played by Juan Martin and Bebe Auguste.

Find attached the final ranking of the 2nd Round of the Padel Qatar League after a month full of padel matches.

Remember that the first 2 teams of each group will promote to the upper division and the last 2 will relegate. 

For the upcoming round, the duration of the league will be 35 days instead of 30, therefore, there will be more time for people to book their matches.
